Local Protests No Kings Day Throughout Michigan 〰️

June 1, 2025 - The state of Michigan has more than 50 protests scheduled throughout the mitten state for June 14, 2025, which is being called NO KINGS DAY. The multi city, town, village, and township day of action is purposefully selected to be both on Flag Day and sitting President Trump’s Birthday, where he plans to throw his very own, military birthday parade in Washington DC. In partnership with larger organizations like 50501 National, the Women’s March promoting a KICK OUT THE CLOWNS motif, and INDIVISIBLE, the state will be blistering with community where like minded individuals will peacefully come together to demand democracy and refuse a dictatorship.

Organized by a coalition of civic groups and concerned citizens, the No Kings March stands as a bold reminder that democracy must be defended. With rising domestic threats to democratic norms, marchers will call for accountability, transparency, and the protection of democratic institutions. Participants are encouraged to bring signs and stand in solidarity for the enduring values of democracy, freedom, and the rule of law. 50501 is a peaceful movement. Violence of any kind will not be tolerated.

The Capital of Michigan, Lansing, will host by far one of the larger protests happening on June 14th, 2025 from 12- 6 PM with the agenda and plan further below near the poster artwork.

National Day of Action - 06/14/25 No Kings, Kick out the Clowns Lansing Mi

About June 14th in Lansing:

Join Us in Lansing, MI on June 14th for the "Kick Out The Clowns / No Kings" Protest, Mutual Aid Drive, and Street Carnival

Collaborating Organizations: Indivisible Michigan 7th District, Crowded Table Coalition, Ingham County Democrats, Coalition Against Genocide, BAMN (By Any Means Necessary), Stop GEO Group in Baldwin, Michigan Sierra Club, Reclaim Project, Michigan Families For Fair Care, Lansing For Palestine, Grand Rapids Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression, and more.

About the Event:
On June 14th, we rally to confront the crises fueled by the Trump regime—defending marginalized communities, exposing corruption, and demanding real change. Our protest features powerful speeches and demonstrations, united in resistance and solidarity.

Following the protest, we’ll host a sharp, satirical carnival—not to celebrate Trump, but to mock and expose his absurdity. Using humor, parody, and bold satire, we aim to weaken his fragile grip on power and turn his birthday into a spectacle of resistance.

Why Satire Matters:
Art and humor are vital tools of resistance—breaking censorship, exposing hypocrisy, and inspiring collective action. Our carnival will feature satirical games, art installations highlighting injustices, and performances like drag shows and comedy—all aimed at undermining the regime’s legitimacy.

Schedule:
11a-12p: Ingham County Democrats' Tribute Rally for Ted Lawson
12p-2p: Protest & Speeches
2p-3p: March
3p-6p: Street Carnival & Creative Acts
Throughout: Mutual Aid Drive supporting local communities

D-Day Multiple Actions- 06/06/25 Veterans Rally Lansing Mi

The Lansing Queer History Guild, Greater Lansing Area Organizers, and Crowded Table Coalition are working together to honor our veterans on June 6th, the anniversary of D-Day.

Please join us to show your support for our veterans who risked their lives and sacrificed so that we could live on in a Democratic world.

We want to show that we will resist this authoritarian regime we are face to face with, just like the soldiers and the resistance did in World War II.

Let's do what we can to not have another D-Day. Sustained, non-violent protesting works. It's not instant but it builds community, instills hope and gets us organized! There are more of us than there are of them!

We will have speakers on the capitol steps from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This will include open mic time for veterans who wish to share their thoughts.

There will be informational booths from the community, so this will be a great time to connect with others and find out more about how you can help resist fascism.

New Listicle Format

If there is a protest out there that people are trying to promote, and there is NO backlink for more people to learn about, they will be dropped in the photo gallery at the end.
I try and pride myself on providing link backed articles so individuals can remain informed and make their own decision on attending local Michigan protests, marches, clean ups, and activation dates.
An additional resource I use to LOOK for local protests, etc happening, are mobilize.us, & 50501.

There could be more out there…

Concerned citizens are stepping up and organizing things every day. If you’ve heard of another event happening, DM them to Krumnow on social media platform. If you don’t get a response within 12-24 hours, please comment on content. We are continuing to go viral every day right now. This included platforms “hiding” messages or hate DM’s and comments in places that can create problems on social media.

This is a new space to receive and distribute news. As we grow and get our bearings, we will continue to find other ways to distribute information. Weather that is a youtube channel, substack, email newsletter etc. It will take some time to get these things going out there and ready.

Especially backing up organizations, events, stories, etc with links for further knowledge. IG Stories will have most update to date, trending news, along with TIKTOK for less polished content. IG and Facebook will grow as we find a grove.

Bare with us as we figure out all this ish with you.

Be safe, god speed, and as always, carry soup on hand. For your family.

ABOUT NOW NEWS & JACKI KRUMNOW: As of March 04, 2025, local Lansing influencer and concerned citizen, Jacki Krumnow, stepped up to begin covering local news that was not getting deserved media coverage. She will try to remain timely and write articles when she can, but you can trust her STORIES and IG Profile to keep you up to date on everything NOW NEWS from protests and political satire, to the occasional marketing trends and updates, and local happenings in Lansing, and yes, more than just humanitarian events. Krumnow spearheads herself now as guerrilla journalist, gathering details, research, and knowledge of news by they people and for the people. She endorses nothing. She encourages readers to be well informed and continue their own research on topics, events, organizations that they find of interest.
